Abstract
Papers Please introduces Warren St. John’s novel, Outcasts United, in relation to the immigration and assimilation policy that is discussed within. The purpose of this podcast is to analyze the immigration policy that is seen in the book and compare it to the policy that most Americans know about today. This podcast connects back to the listener by showing how these topics affect them and those around them. It also shows how characters in the novel are affected by real-life immigration policies and assimilation practices in the US.
