Abstract
Deep in the heart of America lie small communities with dwindling populations. These towns face a problem becoming more and more prevalent across the nation; they’re running out of food options. These communities have been labeled food deserts and are monitored by the USDA. Beyond these food deserts, fresh food options are becoming a rarity, affecting obesity rates and health concerns everywhere. Prices are rising and fast food chains are sliding in to fill the gaps. As the problem increases, awareness need to be spread.
