Residential Fuel Oil Demand: A Micro-based National Model
Abstract
A micro-based study of residential fuel oil demand is undertaken. The study is one of only two in existence. The results indicate that fuel oil demand is price elastic in the short-run and that this elasticity can be divided between households which use fuel oil for space heating only (1.559) and those who use it both for space heating and water heating (- 1.805). © 1985, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
