Abstract
This paper is a progress report outlining the work done on the crystal size distribution of a beautiful diabase called "Devonite" found in the St. Francis Mountains of Missouri. Corel Draw has been used to outline the creamy, white crystals of feldspar set in a large sample of this beautiful black matrix, porphyritic diabase. There are still however further investigations to be made from the rock chips, that have been sent of to be made into thin sections, in order to complete this project.
