Defining the Boundaries of Engineering Management
Abstract
Degree programs in engineering management (EM) historically have been market driven and designed to meet emerging requirements of enterprises that depend heavily on technology for their success and/or profitability. With increasing employer interest in management of technology, total quality management, technology transfer, and other philosophies and strategies that interrelate management and technology, a review and restatement of the scope and focus of M.S. degrees in EM seem timely. © 1994 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
