Abstract
Due to the current high-speed, high accuracy requirements of machinery in industry, a thorough understanding of the elastic behavior of mechanisms has become very important. Based on the importance of experiment to support mathematical theory, this paper provides a survey of experimental studies of high-speed flexible mechanisms from a designer's point of view. Future experimental activities to remove discrepancies are also suggested.
