Abstract
Lead lanthanum zirconate titanate (PLZT) compositions were extruded into thin fibers by an adaptation of the Fibrous Monolith processing technique. One composition was coextruded with a silver core and cofired to demonstrate the agility of the manufacturing process. Fiber bend strengths and Weibull moduli of the neat fibers were determined.
