Preparation of spherical ceramic powders by the aerosol-technique
Abstract
Spherical titanium dioxide powders in the lower micron and submicron range have been prepared by the pyrolysis of tetraethoxytitanium aerosols. The influence of the reaction temperature on powder properties has been investigated. The densification behaviour of the powders at low temperatures could be related to the pore-size distribution in the green powder compact.
