"Heat Treatment Optimization of 7XXX Aluminum Alloys" by D. Scott MacKenzie and Joseph William Newkirk

Heat Treatment Optimization of 7XXX Aluminum Alloys

Abstract

The Jominy End Quench was used to predict hardness of 7075 and 7050 over a wide range of quenching and processing conditions. An empirical model was demonstrated and shown to accurately predict hardness within 2%.
