Heat Treatment Optimization of 7XXX Aluminum Alloys
Abstract
The Jominy End Quench was used to predict hardness of 7075 and 7050 over a wide range of quenching and processing conditions. An empirical model was demonstrated and shown to accurately predict hardness within 2%.
