Abstract
"Batch flotation tests on Utah Copper ore were used to show the effect of collector cation size.
The results obtained were:
(1) Recovery of copper in the concentrate decreases with increase in the size of the collector cation.
(2) Increased recovery with ethyl over that for amyl with a given cation.
(3) No beneficial recovery with sulphur enriched xanthates.
