Description
One of my favorite techniques is called "reductive charcoal" in which I cover the entire paper in charcoal and then erase the charcoal away to "draw". Making light out of dark produces wonderful extremes of value while maintaining the delicacy of the piece. One wrong swipe of a sleeve and those extremes disappear.
