Description
A weaving pattern clay lantern that was initially bisque fired within a standard kiln, then further fired using a rapid heating and cooling process known as Raku firing. This firing technique is used to achieve the rich metallic tones as well as textures through natural material additives such as pine shavings and sawdust.
