Metamaterial Or Metastructural Thin Films For EM Wave Control
Abstract
Controlling electromagnetic waves in terms of frequency, amplitude, phase, polarization, and wavefront is fundamentally important in emerging applied science and applied engineering. Metamaterials and metastructural thin films (named metasurfaces) offer extraordinary ways to flexibly tune the properties of electromagnetic waves. The synthetic theory, simulation methods, representative applications, and future perspectives of the metamaterials and metastructural thin films are fully incorporated. This chapter takes a bird's-eye view and summarized recent advances.
