A Model Of Residential Demand For Electricity Using A National Household Sample
Abstract
Using a three-equation model (demand, price, appliance stock index) and a current national household data set, this study develops partial and total elasticity estimates for the USA. Partial elasticities are 0.102 for income and -0.193 for price, while total elasticities are 0.410 for income and -1.403 for price. © 1983.
