Improvement Of Basic Mathematical Skills With Plato: An Experiment
Abstract
In an experiment conducted during 1979–80 by the Computer Center at Florida State University in cooperation with the Florida Department of Education and funded by the Florida Legislature, PLA TO Basic Skills Learning System for Mathematics produced significant gains at both the middle and high schools levels with greater gains at the middle schools. The latter result was verified by the results of regression analyses when age showed significant inverse correlation with posttest scores. The only other factor generally found to ve a significant contributor to posttest scores was the pretest score. © Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
