Preparative anodic oxidation of secondary alkanols employing lithium nitrate
Abstract
The nitrate-mediated oxidation of simple alkanols to the corresponding ketones is described. Except for compounds containing several tertiary hydrogens the procedure is simple to perform and gives clean products in high current yield. © 1980.
