The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) announces that Dr. Irina Ivliyeva, professor of arts, languages and philosophy, will be the next assistant chair of CAFE, beginning June 1. Her appointment will last through May 31, 2020, at which time she will become chair.
CAFE relies upon a rotating leadership model and as such, Dr. Larry Gragg, Curators' Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus, will step down as assistant chair on June 1. Dr. Wayne Huebner continues as chair. The center's leadership is shared by a representative from each college, with the assistant chair serving a term before serving as chair.
The mission of CAFE is to promote the success of Missouri S&T faculty as teaching scholars at all stages of their careers. CAFE provides several programs and resources for S&T faculty. Learn more at cafe.mst.edu.
