Abstract

"The term American Edible Vegetable Oils includes only four distinct oils and under certain economic conditions perhaps a fifth. All these oils are to a certain extent interchangeable in their uses, their employment in specific commodities depending largely on their relative price. Listing them in the order of their economic importance, their principal usages are given in the following paragraphs"--Introduction, page 1.
