Abstract
"The attempt has been made to bring together and to classify the properties of minerals and to show that there is some simple qualitative relation between their composition and physical properties, or in other words, to show that minerals containing different percentages of a certain element will all have similar properties dependent upon the proportion of that element. Further investigation of this subject would be in determining the modifying influence of crystal form"--page 1.
