Abstract
"The American fluor spar mines of economic importance are located in the Southern part of Illinois and Western Kentucky. The largest mines are in Hardin County, Illinois, Those in Kentucky are in Crittenden, Livingstone and Caldwell Counties. At the present time the Illinois mines are the largest producers. The two principal mining companies in operation are: The Rosiclare Lead & Fluor Spar Mines and the Fairview Fluorspar & Lead Mines. These mines are located about a half mile from Rosiclare which is on the Ohio River"--Location, page 1.
