"The Seneca Superior Mine lies under Cart Lake which is located about a mile south of the city of Cobalt. It was discovered by crosscutting during the year 1912 and although it is one of the smaller properties of the Cobalt district it has been, and continues to be, a large producer"--Description of the Seneca Superior Mine, page 1.
