Abstract
Experimental methods and techniques being used to generate doubly and triply differential ionization data for positron and electron beams are discussed. It is shown that even for femtoamp, or smaller, beam intensities, highly detailed differential studies can be performed and differences resulting from kinematic effects due to the sign of the projectile can be identified. Examples using 250 eV impact ionization of molecular nitrogen are provided. © IOP Publishing Ltd and Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft.
