Measurement of the Lifetime of the Metastable 5d_3/226d_3/2, J=0 Autoionizing State of Barium

Abstract

We report a measurement of the lifetime of the metastable 5d_3/226d_3/2, J=0 autoionizing state of barium. We have determined the lifetime to be 190(10) ns.
