The 1 eV Peak: A Consistent Feature of the Cuprate Superconductors
Abstract
We report data supporting the view that the sometimes controversial 1 eV peak in the angle-resolved photoemission spectrum of YBa2Cu3O6.9 is, in fact, representative of cuprate superconductors. Detailed spectra for YBa2Cu3O6.9 show that the peak is composed of a family of initial states of both even and odd symmetry.
