Effect of Amplification on Distribution of Conductance in Disordered Waveguide
Abstract
Introduction of optical gain in disordered waveguide results in enhanced fluctuations [var(g)/(g)2] of dimensionless conductance, similar to the effect of Anderson localization. Using numerical simulations we demonstrate important differences/similarities between these two effects.
