Abstract
This study investigates social stigma related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Participants rated the desirability of male and female targets with ADHD, minor medical problems, and without any "weakness" across levels of social engagement (e.g. friend, roommate). Participants exhibited less desire to engage with those with ADHD (versus both control groups). This could be taken as evidence that common knowledge of ADHD leads to beliefs that make it look like more of an obstacle than other weakness.
