Analysis of High Pressure Water Jet Interruption Through Ultrasonic Nozzle Vibration

Abstract
This paper presents a new concept for producing high pressure fluid jets which contain discrete liquid segments. The theoretical analysis of the ultrasonic vibration of a horn, attached to the nozzle, which is required to achieve such results is discussed. Preliminary test results are presented.
