Consideratins in the Design of a Waterjet Device for Reclamation of Missile Casings
Abstract
The use of high pressure water as a means of removing explosive and propellant from munitions has several apparent advantages. experimental programs were carried out to define the operational range in which equipment can be operated with an adequate level of safety. Potential problems arise, however, when enhancement techniques are included in the jet delivery system. The problems are discussed within the context of the design of a system for missile cleaning.
