Coal Disintegration by High Pressure Water Jet: Technical Progress Report No. 2, October 20-November 20 1986
Abstract
Detailed measurements were made of the pressure before the injecting nozzle and the pressure inside the crack using a crack model which is moved in relation to the nozzle along the crack and perpendicular to the crack. The pressure was measured at different positions inside the crack. Measurements were made for nozzle diameters 0.041 and 0.061 ins., 5000 p.s.i. pressure and a stand off distance of L=0.
