Demonstrations of an Air-Slot Photonic Crystal Nanocavity with Ultrasmall Mode Volumes for Enhanced Light-Matter Interactions
Abstract
We demonstrate experimentally a photonic crystal nanocavity with an ultrasmall modal volume of 0.01 cubic wavelengths. Coupling to the fabricated nanocavity is achieved with the tapered fiber, with applications to nonlinear optics and cavity QED.
