High Temperature Properties of Moist Air
Abstract
This paper presents psychrometric formulations and data for moist air. Results are given for temperatures from 200°C to 320°C and humidity ratios from 0 to 1 kg/kga at pressures of 0.07706 (corresponds to altitude of 2250 m), 0.101325, 0.2, 1.0, and 5 MPa. The data are developed using the most current values for the virial coefficients, enthalpy, and entropy of both air and water vapor to accurately predict the real gas behavior of moist air. The properties presented on psychrometric charts include humidity ratio, enthalpy, specific volume, wet- and dry-bulb temperatures, and relative humidity. Saturation data are also presented for humidity ratio, volume, enthalpy, entropy and compressibility. The data presented herein greatly extend the current available psychrometric moist air data range.
