Microcracking Stress and Transverse Properties of Hybrid Ceramic Matrix Composites
Abstract
Hybrid ceramic matrix composites (HCMC) are composites consisting of aligned fibers reinforcing a ceramic matrix which has been intermixed with fine whiskers. The microcracking stress and transverse properties of HCMCs fabricated by tape casting and filament winding were studied by three point bend tests.
