Self-tuning Guidance Applied To Aeroassisted Orbit Transfer Problems
Abstract
A nonlinear self-tuning control method is used as a guidance law for the atmospheric portion of the aeroassisted maneuver. Nonlinear pole-placement method of selftuning control is used to track the reference trajectories during this period. Flight dynamics equations are formulated in a special form for generating the self-tuned control. Numerical examples from a coplanar reentry problems to illustrate the use of this method are presented.
