A Twin Spherical Drive For Prosthetics And Robotics
Abstract
A study has been made of what is believed to be a novel electrical drive. The drive addresses requirements in the field of artificial arms and legs (limb prosthetics) as well as the field of robotics. In this paper a twin spherical drive is suggested for this purpose using the power selsyn principle. A steady state analysis is carried out. © 1985.
