Cool Way to Complex Parts
Abstract
Rapid freeze prototyping (RFP) is an environmentally conscious rapid prototyping (RP) process which builds a three-dimensional ice part from a computer-aided design (CAD) model by depositing and rapidly freezing water in a layer-by-layer manner. An explanation of how ice is used to form parts in a new RP process that is cleaner, cheaper, and quicker than current technologies is presented.
