Support Wire Disturbances in Near Viscous Wakes of Slender Supersonic Bodies
Abstract
The viscous wake properties of slender bodies suspended by wire were experimentally investigated. Schlieren observations plus the measurements of pitot pressures behind a flat plate and an axisymmetric cone at Mach 3. 15 were used for this purpose. Conclusions resulting from these investigations are presented.
