Study of the Range of Simple Harmonic Response in Non-Linear Ship Rolling

Editor(s)

Popelar, C. H

Abstract

The analytical description of ship rolling in beam seas has become a classic problem. For large angles of roll a non-linear equation is used to describe the roll motion. The restoring moment of the hydrostatic force can be described by a cubic function.
