Experimental-Numerical Hybrid Technique for Two-Dimensional Stress Analysis
Abstract
A numerical procedure for obtaining the stress components in the interior of a two-dimensional body from the values of stresses measured along the boundary, is presented. in this method the two-dimensional elasticity equations are re-written in a convenient form and solved using the finite difference technique along with the boundary stress values. the application of the method is illustrated with examples.
