Experimental-Numerical Hybrid Technique for Three Dimensional Stress Analysis
Abstract
An approach of using complementary combination of both experimental and numerical techniques for stress analysis of three dimensional components is presented. The boundary stresses are determined by experimental means and the corresponding stress distribution in the interior is obtained by using a numerical procedure. The method is given for stress and displacement fields. Certain examples of application are sited and new poss ibilities for using the method are discussed.
