An Efficient Design Approach for Flexible Mechanisms
Abstract
In this paper, an efficient approach to design flexible mechanisms is presented. Instead of using only cross-sectional area as design variable, input speed, link length, and material property, can also be simultaneously taken into consideration, and an overall optimal solution can be obtained. A computer program was developed to demonstrate the idea.
