Correlations for Laminar Mixed Convection in Boundary Layers Adjacent to Horizontal Continuous Moving Sheets
Abstract
The aim of this investigation is to develop useful correlations for the local and average Nusselt numbers in laminar boundary layers along a horizontal, continuous sheet moving in an otherwise quiescent environment. Such correlations have not been presented in the past. The available results have been extended to cover higher buoyancy parameter values and a wider range of Prandtl numbers. Both the uniform wall temperature (UWT) and the uniform surface heat flux (UHF) cases are examined in this study.
