Review of Black Liquor Gasification Technology and a Nonlinear Finite Element Model of High Temperature Style Gasifier
Abstract
Black liquor gasification technology and the current application of refractories in the black liquor gasifier were reviewed in this paper. A nonlinear finite element model was developed for the high temperature gasifier reactor to simulate the thermomechanical environment during operation. The heat transfer and thermomechnical response were studied for an understanding of the behavior of refractory materials during operation.
