Ductility Improvement in Devitrified Ultrafine-grained Al-4.0Y-4.0Ni-0.9Co Alloy via Hot Rolling
Abstract
As-extruded ultrafine-grained Al-4.0Y-4.0Ni-0.9Co alloy produced by amorphous powders exhibited high strength but low ductility. Hot rolling of the as-extruded material resulted in enhancement in ductility. Factors affecting the ductility in the as-extruded and hot-rolled materials are discussed.
