Influence of hydroxide-precursor processing on the densification of yttrium oxide powders
Abstract
During research on sinter-active oxide powders, the influence of hydroxide-precursor processing parameters has been investigated in the case of Y(OH)3. Y2O3 compacts containing monosized small pores were derived from aged and freeze-dried hydroxide precursors and could be sintered at 12500C to 95% th.d. and at 1450%C to >99% th.d
