High-temperature Properties of Steel L245MB during Slab Continuous Casting Process
Abstract
High-temperature properties of steel, such as thermal expansion, stress and strain, tensile strength, yield strength and hot ductility, are of importance for the quality of slab product. in the current paper, high-temperature properties of steel L245MB were tested and analyzed with different casting conditions by simulating the slab continuous casting process. the results indicated that the temperature area of low ductility zone of the steel is diverse with different variation velocities of temperature drop and temperature rise. Breaking strength of the steel L245MB related to the cracking change in different temperature. the results of the research play important roles in the further studies on quality controlling of the steel during slab continuous casting process.
