Indications Of Grinding Mill Operations By Mill Noise Parameters
Abstract
Mill noise has been utilized as a measure of mill load and it has been a constant threat to the hearing of mill operators. This paper investigates a further aspect of mill noise and presents an analysis of the noise generated by a batch ball mill and of the relationships between mill noise and mill parameters. It is demonstrated that the reduction in mill noise due to the presence of ore in the mill can usefully indicate variations in mill and pulp conditions. © 1985 by Hemisphere Publishing Corporation.
