Far Infrared (FIR) Spectra of Polynary Chalcogenide Glasses
Abstract
FIR spectra were obtained of polynary chalcogenide glasses which are transparent from the near IR to about 15/µm and show an unusually high softening range. Such glasses were based on the ternary Si-As-Te with increasing substitutions of Ag for As, and Se for Te and were subjected to controlled heat treatment.
