Quantitative Thermogravimetry of Calcium Aluminate Compounds and Cements After Hydrothermal Treatment
Abstract
Thermogravimetry (TG) has been used to analyze a complex mixture of reaction products from hydrothermally treated refractory cements and castables for quantitative phase analysis purposes. TG data for a calcium aluminate cement and a 94% alumina castable have been analyzed, and the calculated chemical analyses and phase analyses agree with the respective manufacturer's data.
