Some Existence Results for Noncoercive Problems in Nonlinear Elasticity with Live Loadings
Abstract
We consider a noncoercive nonconvex minimization problem with nonlinear perturbing terms that arises from equilibrium problems in nonlinear elasticity, in which the body is subjected to live outer loadings. by using a generalized recession method, we find sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of minimizers of the energy functionals. an example is provided to illustrate the application of the results in cases not treated by usual recession approaches.
