Discovering Relationships in Relational Databases through Data Mining
Abstract
Mining data in a relational database environment differs from mining data in less structured environments, since the design of the relational database itself implies that certain key dependencies exist. This paper presents a methodology for applying symbolic machine learning data mining tools to extract previously unknown relationships from within a relational database environment.
